Business idea in short

1Room – Minimalist Social Housing: Helping people create a better life, 1Room at a time.

Social issue to tackle | Business concept

1Room is a social real-estate business that seeks to address inequalities in Latin America by helping people improve their living conditions. We sublease the extra space from owners with financial limitations to tenants who seek affordable but comfortable housing.  1Room combines house-flipping and micro-housing to create a Minimalist Social Housing Solution.

Motivation

After seeing my mom be a house owner who struggled financially and had limited options to improve her family’s living conditions, and after I became a tenant who wanted a more comfortable lifestyle but was unable to afford a decent place to live, I am working to create a way to deliver value for both sides.
