Dual Bottom Line and Mission-driven Business: These are the keywords of a 21st century business model.
The dual bottom line is a business model pursuing two bottom lines, financial and social performance simultaneously. Financial performance seeks monetary returns, that is profits, and social performance pursues social and environmental return, namely social impact.
The mission-driven business is an approach to initiate a business by identifying a social issue and setting it as a starting point. To solve this social issue, we need to consider how to utilize information and how to apply technology, and from this point, innovation for a new business model, products and service will be created.
Entrepreneurship in the 21st century is required not only to pursue financial profits but also to contribute to the society. Our challenge, supporting start-up entrepreneurs that create social impact, is suitable for Environment Social Governance Investment (ESG), and will lead to a direct contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set by the United Nations.
